the specimen. Did this for my intermediate examination.

The task was to produce a productimage of a cut apple. Well...a half of an apple lying on a white table is kind of borin...so this was my interpretation. :aww:

I like it so much, but how do you do that...with a trasparent bowl?

Really stunning. Especially the reflection of the 2nd apple splice in the back of the water surface. This really makes me want to try it out myself (: Thank you!

thanks for your kind comment. Yeah try it. It is a real big challenge but lots of stuff to learn. :)

Well I'll first need the right equipment. After that I really feel like doing it. Even though you say it's a big challenge ;)

Wow, this is amazing. I love that you came up with this from something so simple as cut apples

I used the 70-200mm Sigma Marco lens and it set on 100mm.

I used a half filled fish tank and two strobes. one left and one right in a 90° angle to the camera. The strobes have been set on the same power level. I used the fastes shutter speed possible - 1/200s and I guess f/11 for wide range and maximum of sharpness. The selftimer was set on two seconds. So I hold the apples in my hand pushed the released and threw the apples into the fish tank. So it is all about timing! But after a while you get the hang of it. ;)
