The Treasure of Autumn by Moramarth The Treasure of Autumn by Moramarth
Well it has been a long time ago since i have uploaded my last deviation, but i hated my old digital camera badly.

But now - I AM TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH MY NEW ONE! :D :D :D (Canon 350D)

This is a picture of our garden, where always a lot of chestnuts lying around in autumn. I really adore chestnuts. When i was a child, a built strange figures out of them until i hurted my hand with a srewdriver ;) long long time ago.

But i still like chestnuts. Without them i cant get into autumn feeling. ;)

Postwork: Level, Sharpen, Selective Color, Channel Mixer, Resize

FULLVIEW APPRECIATED

Feel Free to C&C and everything nice is welcome as always

thanks for attention.

i'd say this & your floating feather are you 'touchstone' pieces... each has a lot more intent than the rest i've seen so far. nice work!

I really like the colors and the composition. It would have looked even better if there had been a little bit more sunlight outside. But not much to do about that :P

I really like the focus. Blurred in front and back. A very defined area for where you should look :P Awsome shot!

The titel absolutely fits the picture! :)

When looking at this photo, I remember the good old days when I were a young child, and stayed with my grandmother for a while. We always wanted to search for chestnuts to make puppets of them :aww:

lovely photograph!

I like that the camera is really low on the ground, but I think the picture as a whole is rather messy. If you look at it long enough you see the subject, but it has a very distracting blurry back ground. May you could try again though. :)

hey it looks great, I love the contrast between forground/background then the focus being in the center of the picture, very well done  I only got a digital camera today, would you be able to tell me how to get such an effect? (other than digitally editing) Is it with expanded lenses?

I got a Samsung Digimax S800, the specs are listed in my journal. It's nothing professional, just something I can have a play around with! :)

Yeah i see...(after googleing) it is a "normal" digital camera, means you cant change the lenses. So i don't know if you are able to get this effect. maybe you can play a bit with the mode. But normally you need a SLR Cam to get such focus effects, i guess.

But for playing around a bit your cam is enough. :D

Yeah I figured, I was *close* to buying a more expensive camera but thought hey im only going to really just play around with a bit so it wasnt worth spending the money. Nothing I can't do in photoshop however ;) (i doubt it will look as good though ofcourse =P)

I had to convinced myself more than a year buying this camera, because it is so expenxsive. But know i am very happy i forced myself, finally :D

of course you can try to work with PS. Maybe you can use the unshard masks making some parts of the picture blurry, or something else.

I like the idea, I'll find a way ;)
I can picture myself taking a shot down say a crowded street, then singleing out a few people, that'd look sweet  (if i got it right that is :P)
